What We’re up to

We got a chance to check out Australia’s own Joe Robinson, last week at MTSU.  Guy gives a whole new meaning to the phrase musically inclined.    At 20 years old the kid has become champion of Australia’s Got Talent, moved to America, signed to a label, and toured all over the world.  The youtube sensation, best known for his crazy good guitar skills, is a raw talent and a true artist.  Be sure to check him out!

Kobalt night’s at the Listening Room are always the best. From singer to songwriter and everything in between.
Check out the shots we got of these gorgeous and talented ladies: Warner/Chappel’s own Laura Veltz (Whatt I Love About Your Love) and BNA recording artists The Lunabelles!

Short and sweet, last week was super busy so we haven’t been able to post all the crazy stuff we’ve been up to buttt here’s some shots from the awesome talent that graced the Winners’ stage two weeks back!  This is why you need to be at Whisky Jam whenever possible!
(in order) Trent Wilmon (“On Again Tonight,” “Beer Man”), Liz Huett (backups on all of Taylor Swift’s tours)David Cook (Season 7 American Idol Winner) and Sony’s Josh Thompson (“Beer on the Table” “Blame it on Waylon” “Way Out Here” “Won’t Be Lonely Long”).

Gloriana is back in town and better than ever!!

The newly configured three some gave a whole new meaning to ‘less is more,’ last night, when they packed the house for their first Nashville showcase since CMAfest.  Fresh off their fastest rising single, Kiss You Good Night, and in anticipation of their long awaited second record, the group played some hits, covered some classics, and introduced what is soon come.  These comeback kids have got an awesome new poise, attitude and repertoire, that kept us on our feet and left the whole crowd asking… Cheyenne Who?

We checked out the gorgeous, amazing, and thankfully legal Hunter Hayes at the Hall of Fame‘s free family day, this past Saturday. The room it’s self could have used a storm warning, it was wall to wall with toddlers, preteens and  middle aged women galore, each singing every last word.  Hunter is a Warner Nashville recording artists of whose debut single “Storm Warning” is currently sitting pretty in the top 20, and his bragging rights include but are not limited to opening up for Taylor Swift on the most recent leg of her Speak Now Tour and being the first artist play every instrument on every track on an album… ever.  And he’s 19!  We’ve seen Hunter twice before and we think he’s really extraordinary.  He’s a true child prodigy.  He was born for the stage, and he will be a super star.  We just know it!

(This isn’t our video and/or we don’t own the rights)

It’s sometimes easy for us to forget that there’s a whole world of country music outside of Nashville. Especially up north in Canada.  But thanks to the amazing Mr. Louis O’Reilly, the head hancho at 306 Records, we’ve been pleasantly re-reminded.  Friday night we got the ins at a small artist viewing party right outside of town.
The headliner was a young Canadian artitst by the name of Brett Kissel, who’s as sweet and sincere as the stuff he writes and sings.  With a host of different influences, the 21 year old cowboy does everything from Jazon Mraz to George Strait to Ian Tyson, and then some.  Brett’s been making his way between Edmonton, Ca and Music City USA, for the last year, establishing himself as true player in both scenes.  He’s got a great career ahead of him and we can’t wait to see what’s in store!

How awesome is this?!  Jamming with one of our favirote singer/songwriter’s Hannah Dasher

The Whiskey Jam is one of our favorite gigs in town!
Put on at Winners bar and girl every Monday night thanks to Mr. Ward Guenther and Mr. Josh Hoge, iIt’s a weekly showcasing some of Nashville’s brightest up and comers, as well as some of it’s hottest stars.  And as of last night, it’s been going for one year strong.
You can find us there just pretty much every Monday, because you just never know who’s going to show up.  Prime example, last night;:
Just as former Sony BMG recording artist Johnathon Singleton (Let it it Rain, Watching Airplaines, Why Don’t We Just Dance, etc. ) stepped off stage…  2012 ACM Male Vocalist of the Year nominee, Chris Young stepped on…
and we were front and center.
