Gloriana is back in town and better than ever!!

The newly configured three some gave a whole new meaning to ‘less is more,’ last night, when they packed the house for their first Nashville showcase since CMAfest.  Fresh off their fastest rising single, Kiss You Good Night, and in anticipation of their long awaited second record, the group played some hits, covered some classics, and introduced what is soon come.  These comeback kids have got an awesome new poise, attitude and repertoire, that kept us on our feet and left the whole crowd asking… Cheyenne Who?

Danelle Leverett of The JaneDear Girls hits us up with another episode of the JDG’s Favorite things.  This weeks new favorite: riding rides, in particular.. the slingshot!  Crazy stuff.  We’re calling “Sling Shot Gun Girl” as the follow up to their current single ;P, whaddya think!?  Check out the action below!

We literally justtt got back, but we had sometime to kill so we thought we’d post early for a change.  Crazy, right?! So, Warner Nash hosted 2011’s premiere Pickin’ on the Patio party tonight (evennn though it rained and they had to have it in the conference room, ha), an event they started last year in attempt to  be a little neighborhood friendly, have some free food and and celebrate some great music.  Like we said, this was the first of the year, but these parties are held every 4th Thursday of the month,  each spotlighting different artists.  This year they kicked it off with the oh so classic Mandy Barnett.  Though not yet part of their official roster, Mandy recently released a full length album through Warner.  Entitled, Sweet Dreams, the record is a Patsy Cline tribute, covering a dozen of the queen of country’s best hits including “She’s Got You, Strange” and Willie’s classic, “Crazy.” It is available everywhere, btwzz.  The event was extremely chill, we attended one last year, so we kind of knew what  to expect.  A lot of great food, free alcohol, and a ton of music industry insiders.  Mandy was, of course, amazing.  She’s a close second to Patsy, if there ever was one.  We were really excited to see her perform up close and personal as they’re putting the very same showcase on at the Ryman in a few weeks.  How sweet?! Can’t wait for next month’s!

You can pick up a copy of Sweet Dreams HERE.

So she went country, and now she’s going back.  We’re kind of devastated.  We love Michelle Branch and all that she brings to the table, equally as much as we loved what she did with The Wreckers.  This vid is gorg and so is she, and this song is fab.  If you get a chance, check out her solo EP, “Everything Comes And Goes.”  If only the rest of the album was released.. hmph.  Who shelves Michelle Branch, honestly?!

If you haven’t heard this song, than you’re crazy.  It’s all over the place thanks to Mr. Shelton.  But diddd you know that Joe Nichols cut it on an earlier album.  It wasn’t released as a single so Blake snatched it on up.  Sooo lets vote on it., who sings it betta?

“Who Are You When I’m Not Looking” written by Earl Bud Lee and John Wayne Wiggins.

Tonight we headed over to the Warner Bro’s Nashy headquarters to see a show case of two of their newly signed up and coming artists, Jessie Lee and Brett Eldridge. Unforunately we were late and missed our girl Jessie, but she was hanging around. We did, however, get to see Brett play anddd from what we saw.. there’s a reason he was signed. He’s awesome! His songs are awesome. He has great stage presence.  Such a cool guy! His new single, Raymond hits radio oh so soon. Ca’t wait!

The whole set up was just a really cool and relaxed; It was an industry party but it was extremely chill. Alot of big people, we just wish we knew who more of them were..

Suchhhh an awesome event. Such an amazing city.
