Check out Katie Armiger‘s brand new vid for her current single, “I Do But Do I?”   Written By Carolina Rain‘s own, Rhean Boyer.   It’s fun and catchy and reminds us a whole lot of old school Patty Loveless.  We think it’s gonna be a good one for Miss Armiger, what do you think?

Katie‘s back with a hot new number. “I do but do I,” The rockin’ new single, written by Rhean Boyer of Carolina Rain, hits radio sometime this summer.  Giving off some Bonnie Rait/Mary Chapin Carpenter vibes there, girl. We feelin’ it.

We love this town!  We went down to Hotel Indigo last night, to check out a round featuring a couple of local writers includinggg the gorgeous and talented, Ashlee Hewitt.  It’s always crazy who you run into down here.  We absolutely love Ashlee.  She’s vocally untouchable and lyrically.. just amazing.  In a town with as much competition as Nashville, there’s no real competition.  No one looks or sounds like her.  That’s a hard thing to come by.  It was so great to finally get to see this girl live. She was soo good.  Will someone put her on the radio, already?!

Check out her music HERE. You’re gonnaa like it! 😉

We also ran into the fab Katie Armiger. So cute!

Two of the coolest songwriters in Nash, Amanda Flynn and Bruce Wallace, will be playing live tonight at Douglas’ Corner tonight.  The two,  recently known for their work on Katie Armiger‘s latest album, “Confessions of a Nice Girl,” among other things, are extremely talented and gifted and we can’t wait to check it out.  It’s totally free, but they are taking donations for the Alabama Flood Relief,  soo if you’re in town, come on out!

Who: Amanda Flynn, Bruce Wallace, and friends.

Where: Douglas’ Corner Cafe

When: Tonight – May 19th -6:00 PM

Listen to this cover!  We thought we’d posted it earlier but apparently not.  Anyway, this is the gorgeous Katie Armiger backed up by Mr. Rhean Boyer of Carolina Rain anddd they’re covering Radney Foster‘s “Nobody Wins.”  We love. LOVE. love it!!  How amazing is this song for her voice?  Simple and gorgeous.  Hey Katie, more of this please?!

P.S. We just played this 4 times in the process of this post. Ugh so good.

So it’s a little late, but we finally got our copy of Katie Armiger‘s Confessions of a Nice Girl in the mail today.
So excited! we’ve been playing it non stop.
She had some awesome co-writers on this album, such as: Sarah Buxton, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Rachel Proctor and Jessie James.
Katie just released her new single, “Best Song Ever.” It’s super catchy!!
Love this girl!! Go get the album!
Short but sweet.. CMAfest was crazy, ridiculous, awesome, amazing, and all of the other descriptive words that we use far too often and then some. We got to meet soo many artists and saw so many shows that we can’t even begin to summarize it.
These kind of events are so crazy awesome because you gain such a respect for artists that you didn’t necessarily know or like or even care about. so cool. so so so cool. and you get to see everyone you do.
We’re going back next year, and the next, and the next and..
Here’s who we’ve seen/met during CMAfest.. that I can think of
The Band Perry, Miranda Lambert, Chuck Wicks, Tim Mcgraw, Danny Gokey, Big Kenny, Bomshel, Laura Bell Bundy, Chris Janson, Jypsi, SHEL, Eden’s Edge, Gretchen Wilson, Love and Theft, Neal McCoy, The Carter Twins, Katie Armiger, Pam Tillis, Buddy Jewel, The Trailer Choir, Whitney Duncan, Jaron and The Long Road to Love, Alan Jackson, Rascal Flatts, Sunny Sweeney, Stealing Angels, Sarah Darling, Emily West, Jordyn Shelhart, Jessie Lee, Carter’s Chord, One More Girl, Jason Aldean, Josh Turner, anddd that’s all I can think of..
AWESOME.

So basically all of the artist’s performing at CMAfest, who aren’t performing at the CMAawards, later that night, put on a parade through 2nd and Broadway at the start of CMAfest. Awesome. First time we got a glimpse at many of our new favs and potential BFFZZ! 😛

Thanks to the awesommeee CMaFest, there was a million things going on around Nashy in early June. One of which was a global showacase of some of the top artist’s from around the world; we saw artists from Australia, Canada, UK, New Zealand, and then some.
We found out totally last min that our favorite Canadian duo, One More Girl was playing and we were so psyched! We naturally assumed that we probz would never get to see them, as they don’t live in America. butt lucky us, Not only did we get to see them play.. we ended up running into them at the venue before they went on stage.. on their way to the bathroom. What a convenient time to be star struck.

we basically hugged them 10 times and told them how much we loved them.

anyway once the show started there were some really good acts.. and some not so good acts…

butt when Brit and Carly of OMG got on, they knocked the house down. 100 percent. they’re young and hot and so high energy. If you like T-Swift, you’ll love them.  Just sayin. Amazing show.

so after we went to see our girls Brit and Car of One More Girl anddd decided that they would not be hanging around to become BFFs with an awesome set of twins, we headed over to the Red Rooster in to attend a flood benefit. We had intended on seeing our girls Katie Armiger and Carter’s Chord but we missed them both. Luckily enough we caught up with and watched O’Shea from season 2 of Can You Duet, who we had previously met at a Phil Vassar Concert in Ithaca, NY. andd to our excitement they remembered us! Jay O’Shea is so cute. we love her! We also witnessed the magic of The Harters for the first time and .. they were sosososososo fabulous. like, their harmonies are the crispest we’ve ever heard. ever. We also got to see so Trent Tomlinson, Thompson Square, and Marty Raybon from Sheandoah. cool stuff. Awesome day.
