So if you haven’t heard their debut song yet, you have obviously been ignoring the radio. Warner recording artists The Jane Dear Girls broke top 10 with, Wildflower. Yea, you know ittt. Written by The JD Girls themselves, Susie Brown and Danelle Leverett. Even our friends who hate country music love and know all the words to this song, so naturally, we had to check these chicks out. The album is produced by Big and Rich‘s John Rich, of whom discovered them and introduced them to WMG, btwz. And we give the girls mad props, because they either wrote or cowrote every song on the album. That’s a rare thing. Lyrically, most of it isn’t all that deep, but we don’t think that’s what they were going for. It’s obviously more fun than anything. The whole album is poppy and upbeat, with some bangin banjo and electric fiddle, anddd while we’re sure they will get a whole lot of “OMG, thats not country!!” responses, it will deff give them a broader audience. Probably similar to that of Taylor swift’s crowd. Anywayy, it’s cute and girl power-ish and doesn’t sound like anything else right now. So, we’re sold. We rock out to it whenever we go to the beach. Our fav song; track numba 7: “Lucky You.
P.S. Check out their new single, Shot Gun Girl. Hitting radio oh so soon.
